Along the Liffey. Going towards the Docklands. A modern Dublin taking shape. Tech. Companies putting their mark on the architectural definition of the area. You cannot help but be amazed at the shapes, and lines, and colors.

Talk about Dublin Skyline.Building up this composition was not difficult. The image is there to be taken. I have seen many people taking photos of the building from the bridge at night as the lights create a great atmosphere. The view was a gift in my lunck break walks. I miss those opportunities.

Dublin 2019. On my way for one of my lunch break walks at the time. Used to walk from the office,in Hanovers Quay, past the Grand Canal Plaza, past Windmill Lane Studios, Ringsend, cross the Bridge and past the 3 Arena, or better Point Depot, cross the Samuel Beckett Bridge and back to the office. That was a full lunch break gone and nice exercise.Such a nice area for photography. Both by Day and Night.

Long walk to Dublin Lighthouse in 2024.A nice sunny day. A little breeze.People coming and going. Some daring the cold water and jumping in for a swim. Some fishing or teaching young ones how to fish.A few resting their legs after the long walk or just enjoying the sun before starting the trip back.
“The grey winds, the cold winds are blowing
Where I go.
I hear the noise of many waters
Far below.
All day, all night, I hear them flowing
To and fro.” All Day I Hear The Noise of Waters (James Joyce)

The first time I saw the Poolbeg chimneys was on tv. Back in Sardinia. 1984.
Tv is on. Music program is playing some videos. Here it comes the intro to U2’s “Pride (In the Name of Love)” and the helicopter fly above the twins. It’s a first impact with Dublin, for me, I guess. Who would have thought, back then, that I would end up working just a short distance from those chimneys and actually watch them from my office windows. And every time I look at them that song comes in my head.
